Packaging & Instruction

Microman Military Force series came in the smaller packaging than the previous Microman 2004 series. The packaging was very nice with clam-shell design that can be reseal by snapping the locking taps. The card backing had clean design with gray and white background and simple letterings which help the figure stand out inside the blister pack. The accessories (on sprue) were packed on the back side of the blister tray and can be clearly view. Since the blister can be reseal this made perfect storage for any accessories that not being used.

Military Force came packaged with new Microman catalog - "Infomercial Vol.03". The latest catalog feature Military Force series with nice lay out of their accessories.

Microman Military Force Story

Microman Military Force are androids constructed by Dr. Silver for his "Mass Produced Acroyear Project". They are droid troopers built as army for the Acroyears. Dr. Burns became concern and began his own Military Force project for Microman. However, Acroyear Military Force invaded M.I.C.R. Lab and was able to capture Lady Microman Shina. Acroyear Military Force was able to take sample of Shina's blood and at last Dr. Silver was able to create his most fearsome weapon, the Perfect Acroyear! (Acroyear X-2).

Microman New Stand

Microman 2004 came with new style figure stand. The stand features Microman "Da Vinci's The Vetruvian Man" style logo emboss on clear plastic with two styles of foot pegs  - one for the newer Microman 2004 figures and one for the old Microman figures with the 5mm port.

Microman 2004 Military Force series was released in Japan on December 3rd, 2004. The set was delay slightly from the original November release date. Military Force were not true Microman but actually battle droids created for Acroyear and Microman armies. There were total of eight different figures in the series with four (MF401-04) belong to Microman side and four (MF405-08) belong to the Acroyear side. The Microman and Acroyear Military Force figure each had distinctively different head designs with Microman Military Force head look like those crash dummy with two round eyes and simple mouth (a bit like C3P0), while the Acroyear had slightly more elaborate look with more menacing look. The Acroyear heads were all done in greenish chrome while Microman had just basic chrome heads. All eight shared the same newly retooled body based on Micro Full Action Body but with added 3mm ports (total of 18 ports) for used with the numerous "weapon set" accessories that included with each figure. There were total of four weapon set designs; M-01 and M-02 for Microman side and A-01 and A-02 for Acroyear side. Each of the weapon set came with two color variants - Gun Metal and Black for total of eight different weapon set. The new Military Force body resembled a lot of the Beta Midget figures and even came with similar color schemes.

MF4-07 Forest Hide was the seventh figure in Microman Military Force and part of Acroyear side. Forest Hide had dark green body with black joints (he was the only figure in the Military Force series with solid color joints) Forest Hide had the most "Real Type" color with military olive drab green and solid black joints.  MF4-07 came with Black Version of Type A-01 Weapons Set. Like other figures in this series, there was no pre-set instruction for the accessories. Set A-01 came with head gear that when plug into Military Force head gave the the Acroyear 2 like head fins. It seem the designer had intended for them to be used for "custom" look. There were some sample guide in the catalog on what could be done with them (and also on Takara Microman website) but overall the accessories were pretty much left up to the imagination. Takara have clearly meant for this series to be used for army building and custom work purposes by position them at a lower price point (800 Yen each) along with a background story that set them up as mass-produced droid troopers. While these Military Force might not have the elaborate design as the previous series, the simple design made them one of the more fun and more durable set to actually be "play" with. The ability to customized the look of each figure to one own preference and taste is definitely a big plus Military Force series.
