MASKED RIDER BLADE KING FORM

GD-86 Kamen Rider Blade King Form is released by Bandai in June of 2005 along with GD-87 Kamen Rider Glaive. King Form of Masked Rider Blade and Masked Rider Glaive were both from the Blade Movie special. This have been an on going practice with Bandai to do "one-off" special characters to be feature in the movie and debut new power-up form of the main Rider from the current show.

Blade King Form is, of course, power-up version of Kamen Rider Blade. The core body is the new 2004-2005 body but with several remold parts specifically for this release. Blade King Form is probably one of the most elaborate looking Kamen Rider armored-trans figure to be release by Bandai. The armor pieces are mostly die-cast with nice metallic gold finished and nice engraved details through out. The shoulders and the helmet are the only two plastic parts with the gold paint that are just dull in comparison to the metal parts. However, with the small minor gripe aside, this is really one of the best Souchaku Henshin figure to be release by Bandai with very nice paint job and armor part that fit well on the figure. The armor snap on via peg but stay on solidly (to my surprise). The figure comes with his Blade sword and set of Rouse cards. The sword has hole for the card to be inserted for power-up. Overall this is one of the nicest design to come out from Blade series. (I have to admit I really enjoy the Blade designs since I really like my new Masked Riders to be in heavy armor suit.

Unmasked Mode

Like other SH Riders figures, the human body underneath can look out of proportion and is solely intended for display with the "cloth" (Rider Armor) on. The core body is similar in style as the body used since the original Saint Seiya Cloth line, however for the 2004 SH line, Bandai have retooled the body to make it more modern. While the head still appears too small due to having to accommodate the mask, this removable "armor suit" however, is one of the aspect that drawn me to this line. The ability to "henshin" into the Rider form make these SH figures a lot like small version of Henshin Cyborg or the RAH costume hero.

The figure can be display without the mask.

Accessories

Blade King come with his Rouse Blade and Rouse cards. (The cards are just small plastic chips with stickers that have to be apply on them).
