In 1975 Takara continued the Microman series with the next Microman Zone using the "Man from Cosmo" theme. However this year, the line was completely revamped to be its own series and not just the miniature version of Henshin Cyborg toys. During the second year, Takara introduced several different toys into the Microman line with a focus on the 5mm interchangeable aspect. Henshin Cyborg characteristics were no longer prominent and the emphasis was now placed on three new Microman series - the M11X & M12X type, the Super Steel series, and the Acroyears.
M11X and M12X are two new capsule Microman types. The original design for these two types was intended to be the Henshin Cyborg Android-A equivalent of Microman. This was, of course, abandoned as Microman was reintroduced and its own series. The original four Microman were reissued as M10X Type with new revised versions of their feet and cuffs. The "barefoot" from the Henshin Cyborg were replaced with cybernetic feet, completed with the standard 5mm ports.
Takara also released two die-cast Microman series. The first series was the M20X Super Microman which was essentially a die-cast version of the M-10X miniature Henshin Cyborg a remnant of last year's design. The two additional types that were later added as part of the Super-Steel Microman series - the M21X and M22X however were clearly designed for this new direction of Microman. The second series that made a debut was Microman's mortal enemy the Acroyears. The Acroyears were Microman that became evil due to being evolved in the polluted part of Earth. These figures have die-cast bodies and limbs connected using 5mm sockets.
Since Microman was no longer just the extension of the Cyborg line, Takara introduced a concept called the Victory Project to tie the Microman series back to the Henshin Cyborg. The first toy in the Victory Project was the Robotman series. Robotman was a big 12" tall motorized robot with a clear "cockpit" to hold a Microman inside. Robotman was designed as a dual-identity toy that was part of both the Microman and the Henshin Cyborg line. The concept was, however, shot live because of the cancellation of the Henshin Cyborg line in 1976. By 1977 Robotman series would become solely part of the Microman line and the Victory Project series was abandoned.
Several new types of vehicles were also released. The vehicles, which consisted of three separate series - Cosmo Car, Machine Car, and Mecha-Cosmo, came in various sizes and shapes. Takara also released two play sets for the line this year - the Connig Station and the Road Station Base. As one can see this was a very busy year for the Microman as they came out from the shadow of the Henshin Cyborg series.
Microman Story
In outer space near planet Earth, Microman M10X were revived by ray of the sun. They are the first Microman to arrive on (modern day) earth. They constructed M115 Conning Tower to revive other Microman using the Spectrum MX Radiation. M11X are the Microman who were revived near earth planet core. Their body have undergone major evolution and every organs were replaced with cybernetic parts. They have unique energy circuit unlike any other Microman. M12X were revived at the same time as M11X type. Their body have evolved with the influence of Earth crust. T40X Titans were another Micro-race who were revived in the ring of Saturn. Their body were altered with the influence of Saturn magnetic field. They have a special ability that enable them to break apart their body limbs and reconnect them at will. They build base on Titan, moon of Saturn.
